This is a terrific self-contained suite of utilities and tools. I particularly like the way ASC automatically backs up all changes it makes to a built in 'Restore Center', providing a simple, easy way to roll back any changes which may prove to be detrimental (that has never happened to me to date).
I am also a great fan of the included 'Start-up Manager' which features a right click link for online information to help identify and classify any incomprehensible entries...particularly useful for less experienced users. I have read some reports of ASC causing problems on some systems but I find that difficult to fathom.....the features are fully configurable and any changes are backed up to a 'Restore Center' for easy reversal. I've been using this app. for years, since the days it was known as Advanced WindowsCare, and have never experienced any issues or negative impact. Some users may not appreciate the 'nag screen', which pops up from time to time, promoting the commercial version but it is infrequent, only requires one click to close and is a very minor irritation, especially considering ASC's overall usefulness. cheers...JIM |
