OK, we're nearly ready to launch our top referals competition and here's how it works ...

You must be a member to take part in the competition and from your 'Control Panel' you will see a new section entitled 'referrals' which will look like this ...

To start referring your friends, simply hit the 'Refer your friends!' link. In there you will find 3 options.

The Gmail option is still under development although you are free to try using this if it works for you just now.

The recommended method of inviting your friends to our site is using the Manual invite. Choosing this option you simply enter your friends name and email address and we do the rest!.

The link method of inviting people works on displaying your unique referral code on your own website emails or anywhere else you are able to insert the code.

Whichever method is used to invite your friends your member account will be updated to reflect those referrals who complete registration. To track referrals your friends must have cookies enabled in their browser (most people do).

When someone you have referred registers on our site, you receive 10 points. Not only that, but if that person then sends a referral you also receive 10% of their referral points ... for example ...

You refer 10 people and they register on our site ...
10 registrations @ 10 points = 100 points

They each refer a further 10 people who register ...
10 registrations from 10 referrers = 100 registrations @ 10% to you = 100 additional points

So, you see how it works. The member with the most points at the end of each month is automatically declared the winner in the 'Top Referrals' area in our Community Forums and all calculations and results are automated and the details and progress of your referrals can be found using the links under the 'referrals' heading explained here ...

ADDITIONAL NOTES
* Although we do not anticipate problems with anyone attempting to cheat the system, where we do find anyone trying this in some way please be aware that will take the matter very seriously and will, without hesitation, remove both your user account from our board and any user account created from your referrals.
* After you submit a referral, if you notice the "status" immediately changes to a username then this means that email address is already registered to that username on our site and as such that referral won't be processed.
