What is sniping?
Sniping is the act of placing a bid in the last few seconds of an auction so as to make it difficult for anyone to place a bid after you. You can do it manually, or you can have software or a service do it for you.

Is sniping unfair?
No, everyone's playing by the rules laid down by eBay - all auctions end at a fixed time. The person who places the highest bid wins whether they snipe or not.

Why should I snipe?
To avoid getting into a bidding war or battling it out with bidders who may be willing to pay increasingly greater amounts.

What types of auctions does Ace Sniper support?
Auctions, Buy-It-Now, and Store items from the main and motors sites, and mature audience auctions.

Which eBay country sites are supported?
eBay Australia, Austria, Belgium French and Dutch, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, UK and the US.

What are Bid Groups?
Bid Groups let you win a single auction out of a set of bids. Say you've found several items that you'd like to have only one of. You can give a name to the set of bids, thus creating a Bid Group. Once you win an item in a Bid Group, Ace Sniper disables the remaining bids in the group.

What else do I need to know about Bid Groups?
You can have multiple groups.
You can name the bid groups as you like. Ace Sniper will just group your bids with the same name together.
When an item in a bid group is won, Ace Sniper will reset the bid group's name, letting you start a new bid group with the name.
Auctions in a bid group should end at least 20 seconds apart. This will give Ace Sniper sufficient time to determine the outcome and to disable the remaining bids in the group if necessary.

There are bid limits with some versions. How is counting done?
For Desktop Bidder, the limit is by calendar month, and it automatically renews at the start of the month with no carryover. For counting purposes, snipes that were placed as well as pending snipes count towards the limit. Immediate bids and Buy It Nows don't count.
