The release of Windows 7 has been and went and come and gone and, by all reports, the new Windows operating system has been well very received and adoption/transition rates are high. If you are one of the many 'brand new' Windows 7 users here are a couple of free quides which may help you through the familiarization process:
The first is a written 'Windows 7 Pocket Guide' which can be downloaded in PDF format. The download is advertised as being 8.75MB but my download manager reported it as 12.4MB and I ended up with a 12.6MB PDF file saved in my Downloads folder. That's a rather large download but it is a very comprehensive and excellent guide. You can get it for free from here: http://www.windows7update.com/Download-the...ocketguide.html? Now, if you are like myself and can't be bothered mulling through a written guide there is a nice little freebie called 'Windows 7 In A Box' which sits neatly on the desktop. It does not need installation and can even be run from a USB flash drive. The download is just 123KB but is in the compressed RAR format so you will need a freeware archiver which supports RAR (such as Peazip). Just extract the files and away you go. You can read more and download from our very own FreewareBB here: https://freewarebb.com/Windows-7-Box-file8088.html Cheers....JIM |
