Enter to win a free license for WinX DVD Ripper Platinum!!

The nice folks at Digiatry have generously donated 10 licenses for WinX DVD Ripper Platinum (normally $39.95us) for us to giveaway to 10 lucky members.

Better still, these are lifetime licenses, which means all future upgrades to newer versions will also be completely free. Thank you Digiatry!!!

?WinX DVD Ripper Platinum can rip the content of DVDs to all popular video formats such as AVI, MOV, FLV, WMV, MPEG, MP4, 3GP, etc. What's more, it also includes the ability to rip different DVDs (including encrypted DVDs) to Sony PSP, Apple iPhone, iPod, iPad, iTouch, Apple TV, Zune, Mobile phone, etc.
This DVD ripper software supports multi-core CPU and is fully compatible with Windows 7. We promise WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is the fastest DVD ripping solution in the market. Besides converting DVD to regular video formats, 1:1 DVD copy enables you to backup your DVD with original video, audio and subtitles within only 5 minutes (the processing time also depends on your CPU and DVD driver speed).
WinX DVD Ripper Platinum fully supports normal DVDs, CSS protected DVDs, Sony ArccOS DVDs and all region 1-6 DVDs. Moreover, we are so proud to tell you that WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is the unique DVD ripping program which supports decrypting DVDs with the latest copy protection technology.?

The Testing: I started off by testing the 1:1 copy feature and hit an immediate snag; I couldn?t get the audio to play in the output file. An email to the Digiatry support team detailing the problem elicited a quick response and, ultimately, a solution which resolved the issue. It appears the soundtrack was being recorded OK but the user needs the AC3 audio codec installed on the host machine in order to hear it. I installed the necessary codec and all was fine. So I sent a follow up email to Digiatry Support suggesting future versions include that codec, they agreed to do that.

I then went through all the rip and conversion options for the various supported video formats and all went fine until I got to FLV. I could not get that to work, kept getting that annoying message which says the program has stopped working and will now close. Again, another email to Digiatry Support resolved the matter. Simply changing the ?audio sample rate? from the default 48000 to 44100 fixed it. Still, even though the solution was a simple one, that setting should be automatically adjusted within the FLV profile. I sent off another email to Digiatry Support suggesting just that.

I then tested all the output formats for supported portable devices and encountered no further problems.

All testing was performed using default output settings but there are plenty of options and variations for users to experiment with.

The Results: Quality of resulting output files was generally very good; even when converting the full movie to FLV, which produced a mere 232MB output file, quality was more than passable. Rendering times were also excellent; the 1:1 DVD Copy function produced an excellent quality video file (4.24GB) in a remarkable 5 and half minutes. Ripping and converting to the popular AVI format produced a very good quality video file (1.69GB) in just 19 minutes; most other formats took an average 19 to 20 minutes to completion.

The Verdict: I was, at first, a little disappointed the software did not work 100% right out of the box. In the end however, the wide range of supported formats, the consistently high quality of output video files and comparatively quick time to completion more than outweighs the couple of hiccups encountered. Bear in mind the licenses include free upgrades and I am confident future versions will resolve these minor issues. This is already fine software and any refinements can only make it even better.

Hello , YES, I would like to win one of this software. I like the main feature of it being able to rip DVD into ANY format we choose, instead of getting so many software for different formats. The multi-core support is something nice, I guess. Thanks.

That would help me a lot since i used to encrypt my DVD-s to make sure people i borrow them to don't duplicate them, and now i find myself unable to duplicate them myself (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Not sure how I missed this one, probably a senior moment. After trying a previous version, this is the dogs bits for simple ripping.

I am more than interested.

Keep up the good work.

I am a computer consultant that specializes in small businesses and home use. I would like a license for this program as I have a large library of DVDs and would like to view them of some of my portable devices.

Thank you for the offer. Please keep up the great work that you have been doing.

Hi Guys,

A good DVD-Ripper is always a bonus to make a safe copy of expensively bought DVD-Movies. I always prefer to watch from a copy and leave the original safely tucked away.

And, for as far as I know, this is definitely one of the best rippers around. Only, 40 bucks is a lot of money for a retired guy on a small allowance .

Keep up the good works,

Thanks to you and the folks at Digiatry for this giveaway. Please include me in the competition.
I'm particularly interested in WinX DVD Ripper Platinum because of the reported speed. I've used a dozen rippers over the years and am continuing the quest for the "best one ever." I'm happy to see that WinX supports a multi-core CPU and is compatible with Windows 7 (two of my current conditions).
