Side Desk is a desktop utility which can be considered as part clipboard, part desktop extension, part thumbnail creation or graphic re-sizer! Its primary function is to provide a temporary holding area where items can be collated for either immediate or future use rather than using the desktop or a folder. Files are not copied nor moved nor shortcut links created avoiding the problems of duplication and relocation. Files are represented by thumbnails. File collections can be saved and reloaded when required. As Side Desk uses thumbnails to represent files, it can also be used to create thumbnails from single or multiple graphic files and save them to disk. Side Desk will accept a wide range of graphic formats. As thumbnail size is adjustable, it is also feasible to use Side Desk to re-size graphics. |
