Once Upon A Time

There I was, me, my wife and 3 kids (4th not here yet),evacuating to higher ground. A bad feeling said leave the higher ground,,go to another state. So we left everything and went. Hurricane Katrina,,Americas biggest natural disaster, not only took my home but it also took the higher ground where at first we thought we would be safe . Now out of louisiana and now in Mississippi,,my family (now a fourth child) and I start from scratch. Nothing but the clothes on our backs and whatever some very generous people in my new hometown would give us .After all the ugly hate I have seen on the job and in my life,,,true , honest caring and the good hearts of perfect strangers ,, came shining through and not only changed,,,but saved our lives!!!!
