Please use this new thread to report any bugs, issues or abnormalities you find with the new updated site :)
    Thanks
    Marko

    So far ...
    1. URLs - We note that all URL's have changed on the site causing some threads and external links to FreewareBB to be broken. We are working with the relevant provider of the SEO IPB (CSEO) modification which is responsible for controlling our URL's and hope to have a resolution at some point during 5th June 2010.
FIXED - URL's should now be working as normal - home page redirection will be fixed very shortly :)

    2. RSS Feeds - some people may be experiencing issue's with our RSS Feeds, the reason for this is somewhat unknown but our RSS Feeds page contains the newest versions of our feeds and we would recommend re-applying these latest feeds to your RSS readers :)
FIXED - we have updated all RSS Feeds throughout the site, if you are still experiencing any issues with our RSS feeds please visit the RSS Feeds page for the correct feeds.

    3. Author Field In Downloads - currently the author field in the download listings is malformed, we have a ticket raised with InvisionPower (creators of the type of forum we use) for this and are awaiting their resolution.
PENDING - we hope to have this problem resolved today/tomorrow :)

Hey Marko - Just sent a PM to a member which included my FreewareBB email address. The email address was not hyperlinked as per normal. Not complaining mate....just to make you aware (if not already).

      Cheers mate....Jim

Hi Jim, since the last upgrade I've been getting answers to the issues we found, hyperlinking is one of the things that has definately changed throughout all IPBoard's, basically with the nature of forums being what they are and anyone potentially being able to post hyperlinks they realised in certain area's it was possible to have people redirected to unsafe sites and so changed the way hyperlinking works. This explains No.3 in my first post although we're still trying to work on a solution for that one, but in regards to hyperlink's and email's in post's and PM's there is still the option to include those but they now have to be inserted using the correct buttons above the text box when you type like those in the screenshot below ... :)

After waiting an unacceptable length of time for one particular developer to get back to us on an issue, I've since removed their modification outright from the board and will not be using this again. This modification was called CSEO and was responsible for re-writing our URL's, though this particular modification was slowing the site down considerably or at least without it the site is much faster again. This shouldn't cause anyone problems although we may have the odd link in topics pointing to an older style URL which may not work; if anyone finds such a link I'd really appreciate it if they could let me know and I'll have it sorted ASAP :).

Unfortunately, it does mean that we will have lost a great deal of traffic from the search engines until they catch up and discover the new style URL's but my main concern was for the quality of the site. Hopefully now, we can all begin to enjoy it again :)

Thanks again to everyone for their patience.
                Kind Regards
                Marko
