Remotely start and control another machine!

    There could be many reasons you would want to remotely start and control another machine at home, if like me, you have a machine tucked away in an attic somewhere or simply want to have access to another machine for backups or storage but don't want it running 24/7. I'm a sucker when it comes to using what I have, so instead of going out and buying a network storage device I decided to use an old, but quite powerful, machine I had sitting around but didn't want it in view, so up into the attic it went, keyboard and mouse attached, install VNC free server and then installed VNC free and WOL on my machine and viola, a remote machine that I can start up and shutdown whenever I like!.
