What a nice little program. I hope you limit the number of apps in each category to show only the best available for any particular purpose.

      Nick...a further observation:

You don't appear to currently have any system information tools listed. May I suggest SIW (System Information for Windows); it is very good, truly portable and does not come down compressed, everything is included in a single executable.

      Cheers....Jim

Hey FreeWareFan - There are 5 archivers (similar to Haozip) already included in the list of existing software titles; including 7Zip, Peazip and IZarc.

Suggest you take a look through the list HERE. :)

          Cheers....Jim

James have you noticed Speccy? Adding more programs now. Thanks for SIW info.

Hey Nick - Yes mate, Speccy is also very good. It's from the makers of CCleaner (Piriform) so certainly has a great pedigree too. :)

Just to note people: You don't need to redownload anything. Just start the app, and the new applications you requested will be there.

Nick, going back to the silent install suggestion, I've tried a handful of applications now from ZeuAPP and they are not installing silently - I'm certain we both are talking about the same thing, which is why I'm slightly confused that the first 6 apps I try to install are not silent in any way???
                      Cheers
                      Marko

PS - regarding Winmate, not sure I'd want to include it given the comments on WOT.

Agree with Marko on WinMate. I don't understand how there can be negative user comments about spamming and grass roots marketing, yet the site is still rated Green.

Besides which; these types of combination optimisation/tweaking/maintenance apps can be dangerous in the wrong (inexperienced) hands.

Nick - I recommended TweakNow PowerPack 2011 to you earlier. It is similar to WinMate but comes from a very well respected publisher and has an established history of being safe to use (somewhat akin to CCleaner).....that's the difference.:)

                        Cheers....Jim

@Marko I'll look at it. Anyway the possibility for not working is high, since it is still on the experimental level in this version. From the version 1.8 it should work for all programs. Also the two new features coming are: Star rating (rate the programs based on your usage experience) and Program checker (gives you check box which enables you to select multiple programs to download.). I'm going to update some of the programs to their latest version.
Edit: Tweak Power Pack 2011 is already in, however I was asking to see if someone had any experience with alternatives.
Edit 2: Added Libre Office. Number of apps is 180 now!

Well why didn't you say so mate. :) I've had plenty of experience with many of the free ones.

*Advanced SystemCare free - Wouldn't go near IObit products myself. IObit have been under suspicion for some pretty nefarious dealings and although some of their products (including Advanced SystemCare) are quite good I would never recommend them on principle. Plus IObit home page is rated Orange by WOT.

*WinUtilties (free Edition) - From YL Software. Another publisher who has, in the past, employed some rather dubious tactics. Not so long ago YL Software offered everyone free lifetime licenses for the Pro edition of this software. Around 6 months later they withdrew support completely and the software that everyone had installed, and was supposed to last a lifetime, reverted to trialware with a 30 day expiration. I would not recommend any of their products either.

*Glary Utilities - A popular suite but more suited to advanced users. Some of its features are not up to par and the free version includes advertising.

*Comodo System Cleaner - Is very aggressive and definitely not suitable for the general masses. One for advanced (very experienced) users only.

The others not mentioned here are all relatively new and have not yet had time to establish a proven track record.

Generally speaking Nick; all these types of suites are a jack of all trades and master of none proposition. Most users would get better results installing separate dedicated tools/utilities. The one advantage the suites have, of course, is convenience.

Here are a group of tools all available from the same developer but each one is separate and dedicated to just one task. The developer is comparatively unknown in freeware circles but I have tried/tested most all their software and they work well (as advertised), efficiently and all are very easy to use. They are all available in portable versions too: http://www.ss-tools.com/

                            Well worth consideration.

                            Cheers.....Jim

I'm back people. I was busy during the first half of this week. Anyway I'm going to add suggested programs. Still not sure though if I should add more optimizers.

Nick - The problem with "optimizers" is the safety factor. Most are fine when in the hands of advanced users but many are not suitable for those who are not so experienced. Forums across the net are littered with reports of the damage caused by optimizers. It is often not entirely the fault of the software, rather the inexperience of the end user. I have even read reports of CCleaner (supposedly) creating problems.

Bearing in mind that any serious issues emanating from software you choose to include are going to reflect badly on your own reputation; I am suggesting that, especially in the case of optimizers, you should use extreme caution. Better to have a limited number of proven (safe) products on board than multiple choices which could potentially create problems.

Hope you don't mind me offering my opinion Nick.

                                Cheers.....Jim

True. Thanks for your opinion Jim, I guess you're right. However CCleaner also needed a time to prove that it was actually safe. Maybe we should wait to see others.
