Here's the most recent freeware that we know has fell into the "bad" or "unorthodox" category ...

AVI To MP4 Converter - asoftwareplus.com (Appeared on a list of malware distributors - WOT rating)
CrystalDiskInfo - crystalmark.info/?lang=en (forceful install of OpenCandy) - portable version is still clean
GLOBE - globe7.com (Engaged in the distribution of malware - WOT rating)
Kantaris - kantaris.org (Full version installs OpenCandy though lite version is 100% clean)
MovieSpot - softset.ro (engaged in the distribution of malware - WOT rating)
Orbit Downloader - orbitdownloader.com (forceful install of OpenCandy)
Photobie - photobie.com (forceful install of OpenCandy)
Photo Magician - sheldonsolutions.co.uk/photomagician (forceful install of OpenCandy)
TweakNow PowerPack - tweaknow.com (forceful install of OpenCandy)

      Hi Marko,

      yes, why not?

However, is there a way not to make mistakes?

For example, I saw once a malware-warez site that was announcing a freeware of mine.

I couldn't do anything about that, as this site is hosted in some kind of "nowhere land"...

      Have a nice day,

      George

Hi George, not entirely sure I understand what you mean - if it's in regards to us getting something wrong then that's why we invite everyone to have their say and if we do get something wrong we're quick to react (although, of course, we don't ever get anything wrong) :unknown:

If it's in regards to another site doing wrong, alas we can only really concentrate on dealing with the matter of safeguarding users from bad freeware, not warez sites, hopefully people avoid warez sites altogether but I doubt it
