uReX DVD Ripper Platinum, which would normally sell for $39.95, is currently available to everyone for free?offer expires on 30th September.

I?ve never heard of this software before and the uReXsoft site is not ranked by any of the leading site advisory services, so I am assuming it must be brand new. I cannot help suspecting that uReX products may be connected somehow with other similar DVD/video type software, such as WinX.

Anyway, free is good?right? So here are the details:

uRex DVD Ripper is a powerful and stable DVD ripping software that is compatible with Windows XP, VISTA and Windows 7. With this ideal DVD converter, you can easily rip and convert your favorite DVD movies to AVI, WMV, MP4, MOV, M4V, 3GP, MPG, MPEG, FLV, etc. or playback on your Android, iPhone, iPod, iPad, PSP, and other devices

    Download: 8.5MB
*Scanned the downloaded file through Virus Total - Results: 1/44 (2.3%)
Just one out off 44 (Rising) reports "Suspicious". All others scanned 100% clean, so I believe it is safe to assume the Rising flag would be a false positive.
