
I'm agree that download managers can't provide speeds more than your ISP rate.
But just example: go to [URL REMOVED] and click "Download Now" button.
I have 100Kb/s speed on this file in my Firefox, but when I download this link with FDM(6 threads) - speed can be up to 700-800Kb/s.

Sometimes ISP limits some protocols, like Bittorrent in some European countries(as I now - in Germany, also some UK ISPs).
