There are some excellent offerings in this genre. It's a shame ZoneAlarm's 2012 model hasn't been around a bit longer, it's getting really good editorial reviews but hasn't really been around long enough yet to accurately gauge user feedback.

For me, Online Armor just wins out here, but there are certainly other great contenders.

I have used previous editions of ZoneAlarm and was pleased with it, but currently I am using the one that came with Windows 7 and I am quite satisfied with it.

Comodo (without their DNS option checked!). Was using ZA until I switched to Win7 x4.

The default firewall is ok for minor users , but Comodo Firewall holds up very well for power playing. But ,like anything else ,,alot is up to you!!!

I have only used 2 firewalls. Zone Alarm and PC Tools. PC Tools was cumbersome - I only used it when Zone Alarm failed to update. Zone Alarm is superior IMO. It now works again.
