Most of the day yesterday, I spent cleaning a virus off a friends computer. The number of Trojans was unbelievable.
Avast Boot Scan, Mbam, SAS, McAfee Stinger, then rescanning with VirusTotal! CLEAN,,but all this was done from visiting Crack + Key sites. This is the second computer in 5 months ( the 1st was reloaded, and infected again, same friend ). With all the great Freeware out there why are users foolish enough to risk it all by going to those sites???? Inexcusable!!!! :negative:

Well that's a relatively easy one to answer claw - there are still very many people out there that don't know, or don't believe in freeware software and the lure of getting a commercial title for nothing outweighs the risk of picking up infections. It's ironic that anyone would possibly search a warez site for a commercial antivirus or malware title, not knowing whether or not that program could, and quite possibly was, modified without any obvious signs to aid in the distribution of further infections.

Those organised rings who use other people's computers to act as zombies have a field day on warez sites, along with the criminals who just love it when people download their modified software, it just makes it even easier for them to steal your passwords, personal details and it's a breeze to empty your bank account!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, anyone who uses a warez site or downloads software illegally really deserves all they get - might sound harsh but as the law states - ignorance is no defence!!!

Couldn't have put it any better Marko! It's a shame too , because utilities like Glary, are just one setting different between the Free and the Pro versions.
Same with CCleaner, Free has no support , paid does, but they both do "The SameThing." The list goes on and on. Some times the difference is "Real-Time" or "Manual", but the same job gets done. A little Trial of a Freeware version can go along way!!!!
And save alot of time and money and frustration in the long run!!!!
