            It really doesn't matter Gremmy,,if you just needed a desktop icon,,the one in the system tray will work or All Programs,,drag icon to desktop or right click and send it there. I will tell you though,,alot of reviews have put Windows Defender down,but,when I used it ,,it would catch malware. Sometimes my Symantec would catch one to Defender catching two or three at the same time!!!! It's not like Spybot ,which seems now a little behind the others,,Microsoft seems to be pretty active in the updating it to fit every new system that rolls out. Not that Spybot is bad ( Marko ),,it just appears to be walking while the rest appear to be running !!!! B)

              Sys tray? i don't have it running at all..lol
              While i like spybot and it's good, they update very slowly

                  Gremmy - How do you know WD is definitely installed mate? If WD is installed there should be a folder in C drive>Program Files called Windows Defender? Expand that folder, locate the execute file, right click the execute file and Send to 'Desktop (create shortcut)'.
