Suggestion

This was sent to me today. It's a very small utility that lets you close all your programs with one click. I tried it and it seems nice, but aimed at users who has multiple programs running at once.

Threatfire

21 April 2012 - 11:51 PM

I don;t know if it's just me, but PC Tools Threatfire really seems like a welcome addition to my security suite. One of my PCs, experienced a slight (very) slowdown, but my main PC a Win XP, with only 760 mbs. of ram,(hey, I'm poor, lol) doesn't seem to have any slowdown at all, so far. Threatfire gives me a secure felling about having it installed. Even with Sandboxie (on the recommendation of Jims' review)
Threatfire just seems to fit.

Facebook Timeline

20 April 2012 - 02:23 PM

I have a thought in my head that just won't go away. I have Facebook, and it is the old, original look. Well 2 days ago I gets this message when I went to change my profile ."Only you can see this preview at this time, your Timeline will go live in 7 days". WHY???? I didnt't ask for it, I like my profile page the way it is.
There isn't any "opt-out". Oh sure I can end my account and create a new one with just the slightest change in my log-in name, but then I would have to refriend everyone all over again.
Somehow it just kind of feels like my rights are being stamped on. I know it's just Facebook, take it or leave it, but it's just the "no opt-out" that doesn't seem fair. It's my account, I should have say on how "I" want it to look. Seems like I'm not the only one who feels this way. I also understand that there are bigger more important things going on,(trust me I know).!!!!
But,,doesn't most big important things in life start off just a small problem, most of the time??. Like a small snowball rolling down a hill ????
Just had to get that out and off my chest.

WinPatrol

18 April 2012 - 03:52 PM

Having used Winpatrol for a long time now without issues,,I need to know. Three people I know are having issues with slowdown since installing Winpatrol. Like I said,,I have no issues myself. They have scanned, cleaned ,check the disk and all's well. The slow downs started when Winpatrol was added.
Could Winpatrol cause the slow downs??

Here is a nice little tool to help out users who spend way too much time looking at a monitor screen. Maybe even you and Jim,,Marko.
